I don’t know much about this. It has been with the family for many years. It was left in a shop that my Grandma took over in the 70s/80s. It originally came from Alberta. There are pieces of paper with instructions and one piece of paper that says “Papas Spinning Wheel that Papa made for Arthur”. I don’t know who Papa or Arthur is.
I don’t know exactly how it all goes together so I can not be sure that it is complete but you can see there is a spool flyer, bobbin and a yarn winder. Apparently this hooks up to a singer sewing machine and uses the treadle as a replacement for a spinning wheel.
The wood box is also part of it (see extra photos) and attaches to a sewing machine with the lid of the box being used a leg.
The box has a hole and pin type locking mechanism on its end.
When all closed up, the box measures 25.5 inches by 9.25 by 5.25 inches
I’m sure if you are reading this, you probably know more about it than I do and whether it would still be functional or not but it would make a great decorative display piece.
It would definitely make for a unique gift for the collector out there.
