Olympic Medal Art Prints by Corrine Hunt

Corrine Hunt Orca Raven Olympics Print Set

These art prints are of two large master artworks by Corrine Hunt that were used as part of the design for the medals awarded to the athletes competing at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

The image on the left of an orca whale was used for the Olympic medals and the image on the right of the raven was used for the Paralympic medals. These prints were given as gifts to Olympian and Paralympian athletes participating in the 2010 Winter Games.

Each print included an information card and was enclosed in its own decoratively printed box. This lot will include only one box as shown in the picture above.

The Orca print given to athletes of the Olympic games measures 25 by 25 inches (64×64 cm) and includes a card which states “The Vancouver 2010 Olympic medals are derived from this master Komoyue design depicting the Orca whale across four panels, in the composition of a traditional West Coast First Nations bentwood box”.

The Raven print given to athletes of the Paralympic games measures 39 by 18 inches (99x46cm) and includes a card that states “The Vancouver 2010 Paralympic medals are derived from this master Komoyue design depicting the raven over three parts, in the composition of a traditional West Coast First Nations totem pole.

There are a few bumps to the edges and a light crease at the bottom of the raven from being rolled.
