Wahlbergs acting career began with a role in the TV movie The Substitute followed by many successful films such as Fear, Boogie Nights and The Perfect Storm. He was nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in The Departed.
Wahlberg is an advocate for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and established the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation to raise and distribute funds to youth service and enrichment programs.
