His career began as a stand-up comedian which led to joining the cast of In Living Color. He starred in his own sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show and a year later began a successful film career. Notable roles include Collateral for which he recieved an Oscar nomination and Ray for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
