His career began as a stand-up comedian which led to joining the cast of In Living Color. He starred in his own sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show and a year later began a successful film career. Notable roles include Collateral for which he recieved an Oscar nomination and Ray for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
Foxx’s music career has achieved 4 Grammy nominations including Best R&B Album for his album Unpredictable. He was featured on Twista’s song ‘Slow Jamz’, as well as collaberated with Kanye West on ‘Gold Digger’. Both tracks reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
